How Does Microneedling Works?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. Your healthcare provider uses thin needles to make tiny holes in the top layer of your skin. The damage helps stimulate your skin's healing process, so it produces more collagen and elastin.

Love it!
I have this device and have been using it for a few months now. Game changer for sure! I’ve had professional microneedling done before but I love this better and doing it in the comfort of my own home! Whenever/wherever I want! Yes please! I’m 40 with definite signs of aging, lots of over sun exposure, plus acne and other scars from over the years, but this has helped all of those issues so much! Botox and fillers aren’t really an option for me, but I think this works better in my opinion. Consistency and patience is key though!

Worth it
Really happy with this pen.
Easy to use and not painful at all!
I use the stamp method so I don’t scrape my skin and that worked well.
I used a hyaluronic acid serum after I did my whole face.
The redness dissappeared after 12 hours and I can already tell the difference in my skin after nearly 4 weeks.
I can’t wait to use it again in a few days. -
Good price
Item purchased for a great value price as treatment are very expensive in the salon. However have not gotten round to using yet so am unable to comment on effectiveness. Arrived well packed and on time
What is microneedling, and how does it work?
Microneedling involves using a device with tiny needles to create micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to rejuvenate the skin and improve its texture and appearance.
Which microneedling device is best for beginners?
At GetGlowy Beauty, we recommend starting with a Dr.Pen M8 or M8s microneedling pen with different cartridges to help you find the right needle size. Our beginner-friendly kits come with easy-to-follow instructions.
Is microneedling safe for all skin types?
Yes, but those with active acne, eczema, or rosacea should avoid microneedling. Always consult a dermatologist if you have concerns.
Are there any risks or side effects of microneedling?
Common side effects include redness, mild swelling, or dryness, which typically subside in 1–2 days. Using clean devices and proper aftercare minimizes risks.
How long does it take to see results from microneedling?
Most people see noticeable improvements after 4–6 sessions, with optimal results visible in 2–3 months.
Will microneedling help with my specific skin concern (e.g., fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks)?
Yes! Microneedling is proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and stretch marks by stimulating collagen production.

Which microneedling device is best for beginners?
At GetGlowy Beauty, we recommend starting with a dermaroller or an adjustable microneedling pen with a guide to help you choose the right needle size. Our beginner-friendly kits come with easy-to-follow instructions. -
What needle size should I use for my skin concerns (e.g., scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation)?
- Fine lines and wrinkles: 0.5mm–1.0mm
- Acne scars: 1.0mm–1.5mm
- Stretch marks: 1.5mm–2.0mm
For home use, we recommend staying below 1.5mm for safety.
-
Is there a difference between dermarollers and microneedling pens?
Yes, dermarollers are manual and better for beginners, while microneedling pens offer more precision and can target hard-to-reach areas. -
How often should I use a microneedling device?
For smaller needles (0.25mm–0.5mm), you can microneedle once a week. For larger needles (0.5mm and above), allow 4–6 weeks between sessions to give your skin time to heal.
